A curated music magazine for iOS
Pause curates the best songs, music videos, albums, charts and reviews from leading news outlets including Pitchfork, The Fader, Fact magazine, The New York Times, Resident Advisor, XLR8R, DUMMY and many more.
Exploring and discovering new music is mostly driven by the latest and greatest music news. Pause looks at the best-curated music and its story, resulting in a new listening experience. Take time to listen to a song and get to know all about it, take a Pause.
Sometimes you can’t see what’s right in front of you. Coming up with the name Pause was exactly like that. Weeks passed by without finding the right name. But right before the finish line, it hit us: Pause. In less than a day we came up with the name and created the identity from scratch.
Pause releases curated issues around a topic every week, month or quarter. These include all-round monthly releases and issues around a specific subject like artists, music genres, festivals and platforms.
The initiative for Pause was the first-of-its-kind and gained instant attention from the music industry. This quickly resulted in collaborations with some of the best festivals in Europe. Pause collaborated with Lowlands, Pitch and Appelsap to create exclusive apps that included event information and artist backstories.
Pause started out as nothing more than an idea. As of today, Pause stands tall with over 35 issues released over the course of 2014 and 2015. We look forward to dive into more issues for this year.
